In particular, the enactment of Bill C-16 in 2017 modified the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code to incorporate ‘gender identity and gender expression’ as protected categories against discrimination, while also criminalizing such discrimination. At Aptitude Security Inc, we are profoundly dedicated to fostering community engagement. Our support encompasses a range of causes and organizations, including Indigenous communities in Canada, Holland Bloorview Children’s Hospital, San Filippo Children’s Foundation, Islamic Society of Vaughan, the Hold’em for Life Charity Challenge aimed at cancer research, and the provision of scholarships to college students from underrepresented backgrounds. We are convinced that our company’s contributions are making a significant difference. Our employees have also shown their dedication to community support. For instance, one of our Site Directors has championed the Toronto Fire Celtic Society, which hosts an annual Memorial Ride. The proceeds benefit the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation, offering financial assistance to the families of deceased firefighters and facilitating their children’s access to post-secondary education. Furthermore, our security team at Bramalea City Centre has raised funds and gathered gifts for The Salvation Army Toys for Tots Campaign.
